Hair Night – Chapter Seven
Another week had passed, and when Amanda, Courtney, and Rachel walked into Robert’s apartment, they were immediately drawn to the newest additions to the living room.
“Ohhh, bean bag chairs?” Amanda grinned, dropping into one and immediately sinking into its plushness. “Robert, this is the best upgrade yet.”
Courtney flopped into another, stretching her legs. “Yeah, I could get used to this.”
Rachel settled into the last one, her ankle-length hair spilling over the sides as she wiggled to get comfortable. “Okay, we officially need these at every Hair Night.”
Robert chuckled, setting his phone down on the coffee table. “I figured if you’re gonna be here for hours playing with each other’s hair, you might as well be comfortable.”
Amanda sat up slightly. “Speaking of which, what’s tonight’s theme?”
Courtney smirked. “Buns. Big, fancy, dramatic hair buns.”
Rachel nodded. “Yeah, like the kind you see in period dramas and royal courts.”
Robert grinned, pulling up a reference photo on his phone. “So, we’re talking, like, elegant buns? Or crazy towering buns?”
Amanda flicked her golden ponytail over her shoulder. “Why not both?”
Courtney grabbed a brush and started working on Rachel’s hair first, smoothing it out to prepare for styling. “Alright, let’s get to work.”
Robert leaned over, watching closely as Courtney twisted Rachel’s impossibly long hair into a thick, glossy bun, securing it with careful precision. Amanda worked on her own, gathering her blonde locks high on her head and pinning them into a voluminous swirl.
Rachel tilted her head slightly. “How do they look?”
Robert picked up his phone and zoomed in, snapping a few photos. “Honestly? You three could pass as royalty.”
Courtney grinned. “I knew buns would be a good idea.”
Amanda fluffed hers slightly. “You know what? I think we should do a challenge next time—who can make the best fancy bun?”
Rachel smirked. “Oh, it is so on.”
Robert laughed, already looking forward to whatever Hair Night had in store next.
